New Dining Room Table and Dishes
My new table, chairs and dishes are here. As you can see, they are building another large apartment complex across the street. Every day I get to watch them transform a formerly vacant lot into a living breathing residence. The street down below is a private road for residents of our community, not a public road, so it will still be quiet. They will put in a very large and beautiful garden in the center of the complex, so I will have a good view from my dining room window. For my first meal, I had leftover pizza, onion rings, and chicken nuggets, and of course, a Dr. Pepper. Mmmmmm. The table leaf folds down inside the table. Very convenient.
My New Dishes
My new dishes - 4 piece set - 8 sets. Washed them this evening and can't wait to use them tomorrow. My previous set was a used set given to me about 8 years ago. I guess it is about time I bought new ones. Here is the link to where I bought them. They have some cookware and flatware that I plan on buying later. Here is the link to my dishes page.
My Bedroom
As you can see, I haven't hung anything on the walls yet. That should, hopefully, be my next project. I have bought a few items already, but still need to order more. Will update each room as I get things hung.
My New Vacuum
I wanted to buy the latest self propelled vacuum; the kind that you just put on the floor and it vacuums the whole house without any effort from me, but they wanted nearly $800 dollars for it. I think I'll wait until my next year's bonus to buy that one. I used the bonus this year to buy this vacuum, my new dining room table, new dishes and glasses. This vacuum has a second on/off switch on the handle. That way I can turn it off or on without having to bend down. Good for my back. It also has an adjustable suction power button on the handle. It has two heads: one for my tile floors, and another for my laminate floors. The wand is also telescopic. It is very quiet compared to my old one. Maybe I'll start enjoying vacuuming again. This vacuum was $80.
The Neighborhood Gardens
This is one of the reasons I chose to buy an apartment from this developer. These gardens are new, so it will take some time before all the flowers bloom and all the colors begin to show. I have been in other apartment complexes built by this same company that have been around for awhile. The gardens get more and more beautiful each year. They do a really good job taking care of them. It makes for some nice walks in the spring and summer.
